GILBERT, Ariz., March 15, 2018 — cleverDome, Inc.TM, an Arizona Benefit Corporation, has joined the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA). This move is consistent with cleverDome’s mission to expand its community-based platform focused on protecting confidential consumer information in the cloud. cleverDome will participate in global efforts to address cybersecurity issues that impact multiple business sectors and consumers worldwide.

“Protecting confidential consumer information requires not only a technology solution, but more importantly, a community-based solution with a commitment to a global standard of trust,” stated Aaron Spradlin, cleverDome CEO and Co-Founder. “That is what is unique about the Dome. It’s not just better technical controls to stop the hackers, it is a shift in the way confidential information is shared because cleverDome Members who use the Dome complete the due diligence and comply with the cleverDome cybersecurity standards which creates the global standard of trust.”

Cybersecurity is a risk that impacts every industry, entity and person around the world.

cleverDome protects confidential consumer information in the cloud by taking it “under the Dome,” (i.e., secure and off the open internet). The Dome is a Software Defined Perimeter (SDP), which Gartner describes as a logical set of disparate network-connected participants with a secure computing enclave, for the cloud. The Dome combines secure devices and a secure network with due diligence that requires Dome users to comply with cybersecurity requirements that meet or exceed regulatory guidelines. The result is a private secure network that is faster and more reliable than the Internet or a VPN connection.

“Joining the Global Cyber Alliance is a natural fit for cleverDome,” explained Bridget Gaughan, cleverDome Chief Risk Officer and Co-Founder. “Our community-based solution aligns with GCA’s mission. They promote a concerted cooperative approach to cyber risk across the globe and in all industries. Our mission is to protect confidential consumer information through safe, reliable and fast Internet connections. We are excited to be part of GCA because it represents the power of working together to deliver real, measurable solutions.”

“GCA welcomes cleverDome to the growing number of private and public sector entities that have come together to fulfill GCA’s mission of confronting cyber risk, cross-sector and globally, with measurable actions. GCA produces freetools and resources that anyone around the world can use to be safer and more secure on the Internet. The Dome represents the type of community-based solution that resonates with GCA’s mission to work together to eradicate cyber risk,” stated Maryam Rahmani, GCA’s Global Partnership Officer.

According to Spradlin, cleverDome is currently focused on bringing financial services firms and entities that provide services to those firms under the Dome. “The financial services sector is a logical place to start because the exposure for NOT protecting confidential information is significant. Financial services entities are leading users of cloud computing and prime targets for hackers. When you couple that with increasing regulatory requirements and fines as well as the reputational risk for firms that do not take the steps necessary to protect confidential information, it really begs the question of why a firm would not come under the Dome.

The Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) is an international, cross-sector effort dedicated to confronting cyber risk and improving our connected world. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the City of London Police, and the Center for Internet Security founded this 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in September 2015. It is a catalyst to bring communities of interest and affiliations together in an environment that sparks innovation with concrete, measurable achievements. While most efforts at addressing cyber risk have been industry, sector, or geographically specific, GCA partners across borders and sectors. GCA’s mantra “Do Something. Measure It.” is a direct reflection of its mission to eradicate systemic cyber risks. Through its partnerships with companies and the public sector, GCA identifies projects and implements solutions for individuals and small businesses that address risk. GCA focuses on cybersecurity problems that can be measurably improved for all – particularly underserved segments such as individuals and small businesses that otherwise lack awareness and expertise in cybersecurity risks.
